My Winter Essentials!

Hello Everyone.
I hope you're all doing well. Today I have my Winter essentials for you today. I was wondering what to do as a blog post, so I thought well seen as it's getting colder dramatically now in the UK, I thought this post fits the bill quite nicely. I've got a mixture of things from beauty to clothing, and a few Christmas scents, so let's get started.

Clothing-

I think in the winter a definite hat, scarf and gloves are vital. Especially with the freezing winds we are having at the moment, you really want to keep your body warm and prevent yourself from getting colds and flus. I decided on a woolly hat and gloves, I think, from Primark quite a while back and a patterned scarf. I would of said my tartan scarf, however I cannot find it anywhere, I've searched all round my house and I seriously don't know where it is. I love having a big chunky knit hat in the winter as it covers your ears from getting cold and just keeps your head nice a warm too. Sometimes gloves can become a bit of a controversy for me, because if you have a touch screen phone you have to keep taking them off to use your phone to put them back on again, however I heard that Primark do ones with the touch screen bit on the end of the fingers, so I will definitely have to go and get some. As well as keeping your body warm you have to keep your feet warm too, so I thought some chunky knit socks are great in the winter as you can just through them on, grab a hot chocolate and chill.

Beauty-

In the winter I definitely think you need to look after your skin more than you normally would. I never used to moisturise, purely because I couldn't be bothered to sit there and wait for the moisturiser to sink in, but now I totally see the difference. I've been using a mixture of cocoa butter and a body butter purely because they are packed with oil which my skin needs really. To moisturise my hands and face I've been using the soap and glory hand food which works wonders for my hands as I am mostly outside in this weather and for my face, the Garnier moisture match in combination to oily. With me having combination skin I tend to worry about mositurising it, but it has definitely worked. I can see a big difference with my skin and what you have to think about oily skin does need moisturising. My lips are the worst at this time of year, as soon as the cold weather starts they get so dry, so I think every week a good scrub to remove any dead skin and lip balm them every 2-3 hours does the job nicely. I make my own lip scrub which just contains of brown sugar, olive oil, peppermint flavouring and pink food colouring, don't worry the food colouring doesn't stain your lips either! To moisturise my lips I use the Maybelline Baby Lips in mint fresh if you want no colour or in pink punch in want a slight tint.

Lastly, I think you really want to fill the house with winter scents and chill in front of the fire, so I suggest the Yankee Candle Tartlets which you put into an oil burner and light a tea light to melt the wax which gives off the fragrance. The one I chose what Christmas Memories which smells of pure cinnamon which if your not a big fan of this isn't for you, but the other ones I like are Christmas Cookie and Snow in Love, which smell gorgeous so I would definitely recommend them!

That's it! I really hope you enjoyed this post today, comment what your favourite thing about Winter is. Next weekend I have a Christening, so it will only be short one. However they're plenty more to come!

Lush Haul

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well. I recently placed a delivery with Lush, and I thought I would share it with you. All the prices will be at the bottom, and I also had shoot for the stars, but I used it on Friday night.

Magic Wand
This is a reusable bubble bar, which you swish around in your bath and it creates bubbles. I find the scent to be really sweet, but it smells like bubble gum or the 'Snow Fairy' scent. This is in the Christmas collection, so will only be available during the Christmas months.

Christmas Eve
This again is another bubble bar, you just simply crumble some under running water, also in the Christmas collection. It has a acquired scent. I'm not the biggest fan of the scent but it is nice. Lush say that it has jasmine and ylang ylang oil in it, you can definitely smell the jasmine, but I'm not too sure what ylang ylang oil smells like.

Candy Mountain
This is 'another' bubble bar. This is in the Christmas collection too. Like the others you crumble it into running water. Not going to lie, it does look like a candy mountain (whatever that's meant to look like) but the smell is awful. For me, it just smells really plastic. Lush claim it has vanilla in it, but I can't smell it.

The comforter

Ok, I went to town on the bubble bars, but this is my last one. This has been a favourite of mine for ages, purely for the smell. It smells of blackcurrants or Ribena, which in your bath, it just gives a lovely aroma.

 Melting Snowman
This is a bath melt, in the Christmas collection, which you place in a hot bath and it releases oils. This one smells just like Christmas, and how cute does he look! It smells like cinnamon, but it also has cocoa butter and almond oil in it too.

Ickle Baby Bot
This is a bath bomb. Lush say that this is for babies, as it has no preservatives in it. It smells like lavender and has sleep-inducing oils in it. It is perfect for when your having a stressful day and you just want to relax.

Golden Wonder
This is another bath bomb, in the Christmas collection at Lush. I don't really know what it smells like, but Lush say that it smells like a champagne cocktail. Also it has orange and lime oil in it which you can smell, but when you put it in the bath it fills your bath with a multitude of colours.

Bombardino
This is again in the Christmas collection, and is a bath bomb. It smells just like cocoa butter, which means its really soothing for your skin, also it has Sicilian lemon in it, which is so refreshing too.

Luxury Lush Pud
This again is in the Christmas collection and is a bath bomb. The sight of it is so cute, it just like Christmas pudding, but with a hint of lavender in it.

Space Girl
Lastly, I have space girl. It is a bath bomb, and it available all year round. It smells exactly like parma violets, which if your not in the UK it smells a bit like grapefruit. Also it is full of popping candy, which is brilliant and it is covered in glitter.

Prices:
Golden Wonder £3.50
Bombardino £2.50
Luxury Lush Pud £3.40
Candy Mountain £2.65
Christmas Eve £2.95
Magic Wand £4.95
 Melting Snowman £2.25
Space Girl £2.25
Ickle Baby Bot £1.95
The comforter £4.50

Drugstore Make Up Starter Kit

Hello Everyone. I hope you're all doing well. I was thinking to my self the other night because there is so much availability of make up out there, I thought I'd right a little post saying what I think is the best for younger people or just generally people starting out with make up.

Lets start with brushes. I recommend Real Techniques brushes, specifically the "buffing brush" and the "contour brush". I don't really think eye shadow brushes are necessary for when you first start out, I think that is something you build up to.

The buffing brush is ideal for your foundation and pressed powder, it gives the fullest coverage that your foundation will allow and also they are affordable. The contour brush applies blusher perfectly and in the right places too.

Base, I think, is one of the most hardest things to get right when you're first starting out.

I suggest either a bb cream or light coverage foundation when you are first starting out as you don't want load your skin with products. However, if you don't want to wear a bb cream or foundation you can just use concealer in the places where you need it. Also a pressed powder is ideal because it sets your make up into place and gets rid of oiliness. You don't want anything to over powering for your blush, something rosy and just gives a flush to your cheeks is great.
Garnier BB Cream
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
Rimmel Stay Matte
Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks Blush

Again, when you are first starting out you don't want to be venturing out into eye shadows, pressed pigments, liquid or gel eye liner. I think a kohl eye pencil and a bit of mascara will do, and when you get more confident in applying make up you can then try eye shadows out, but not when you first purchase make up.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil
Seventeen Va Va Voom Mascara

Lips. You don't want anything too bright. Either a tinted lip balm or clear lip gloss is fine.
Maybelline Baby Lip
Natural Collection Lip Gloss
All of the make up roughly came to £30, but the brushes are £21.99 and you get a set of 4. These are also all from the drugstore and highly available all around the UK.

Thankyou for reading today, I hoped this helped people. Feel free to leave any questions that you would like me answer in the comments. Also could you give me a cheeky follow on Bloglovin', it will be much appreciated.

Get Ready With Me: Subtle Eye Bold(ish) Lip

Hello Everyone, I hope you're all well. I've got a get ready with me for you today.

I thought I'd do a little post about it. I don't really tend to switch up my make up routine purely because I don't like to use things that break me out. Recently however, I've been wearing quite a bright lip. I'm just going to list the products and then tell you how I use them.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in "010 - Light Porcelain"
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in "Fair 1"
Rimmel Stay Matte in "Transparent"
MUA Pressed Powder in "shade 4"
Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks Blush in "Pink Rose"
MUA Eyeshadow in "shade 19"
Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Eyeliner in "Black"
Rimmel Shadow Paint in "Rich Russet"
Seventeen Va Va Voom Mascara in "Blackest Black"
George Lash Xtend Mascara in "Absolute Black"
Maybelline Baby Lips in "Pink Punch"
Collection Cream Puff in "Cotton Candy"

I used the MUA eyeshadow to fill in my brows on an angled brush. Then I applied the shadow paint all over my lid and blended it out with a fluffy brush, lined my upper and lower lash line with the eyeliner, then applied liberally both of the mascaras and that's both of my eyes done!

For the lips I applied baby lips as I find the cream puff a tads drying. Then applied about 3 coats of the Cream Puff to lips and left to dry.

That's it! Thank you for reading today. If you could follow me on Bloglovin' it would be much appreciated.

Review: Ren Clear Skincare Set

Hello everyone!

I've got a review for you today. It's the Ren Clear Skincare Set including the Evercalm day cream, the Active 7 eye gel and the Evercalm gentle cleansing milk.

I have used all of these products and they're ok, I'm not a big fan of the day cream. I find it a bit to heavy, but if you have dry skin it will be right for you. It retails for £12.50 and you get 10ml of the Evercalm range and 3ml of the eye gel.

The Evercalm Gentle Cleansing Milk is brilliant. It removes make up so effortlessly and leaves your face feeling clean, however not your eyes so much. It doesn't make your eyes sting as such, but it just doesn't get your mascara of properly. I would definitely repurchase this in full size.

The Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream I'm not the biggest fan of. With me having a oily skin type it doesn't really help with the oiliness. Whenever I used this is just felt a bit thick and I felt a bit grubby if I'm honest. They smell lovely, no lie. However if you have an oily skin type like me I wouldn't spend your money buying the full version, but if you have dry to normal skin this will be perfect for you and I would spend the money there.

The Active 7 Eye Gel I love! It feels so fresh under the eyes and wakes you up. I haven't really skin much difference with my under eye circles but they feel a lot nicer. I feel asif they were being a bit stingy with the size of this because I only got about 3 uses out of it, but I would defiantly repurchase the full size. I think Ren are classic skincare staples, especially the masks. This little pouch is brilliant for travelling as they are all 10ml or under (if you are going abroad.)

Thank you for reading today, it would help me so much if you can follow me on bloglovin' here
